Hope is Home

A place to stay. A place to heal.

A place to call home.

For cancer patients traveling to St. Louis for treatment, the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge® program provides a free home away from home.

Give Hope

St. Louis is home to world-class cancer care. But for many, the cost of lodging prohibits them from making the potentially lifesaving trip to receive that care. Through the generosity of donors like you, the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge program provides a free home away from home for those whose lives depend on access to effective cancer treatment.

A new home for hope.

Since it opened in 1995, Hope Lodge has helped thousands of people by giving them a free place to stay. Today, we need your help in remodeling and revitalizing Hope Lodge so we can continue to provide free lodging, programs, and services to our guests and their caregivers. Hope Lodge St. Louis has a goal of raising $10 million, and thanks to the support and generosity of the Society’s CEOs Against Cancer® of Missouri - St. Louis Chapter, that goal is closer than ever. Help us reach $10 million by donating today.

Updates to the new space will include:

  • An increased footprint of 39,000 square feet, up 28 percent from existing facility

  • Private guest suites with attached bathrooms

  • ADA accessibility

  • Large, modern kitchen and dining room

  • Conference room

  • Activity spaces and areas for meditation

  • Living room with television area

  • Expanded laundry facilities for guests

  • New plumbing, electrical, safety, and security features

Stories of Hope

With your support, Hope Lodge St. Louis gives those fighting cancer a home-field advantage.

We are going to be thankful for the rest of our lives.

“Cancer is a game changer and if you don’t have the support, it can really be a major crippler. Somebody went out of their way to provide a place like this so the expenses were not going to hurt me or my family. We are going to be thankful for the rest of our lives to what the Hope Lodge has done.”

St. Louis has given me a lot of good days.

“There are good days and there are bad days, and St. Louis has given me a lot of good days. With the Hope Lodge, I’m able to focus on getting better. I’m able to focus on recovering and continuing to fight this cancer. Without the Hope Lodge, I don’t know if I’d receive the community and love that I have.”
